Spring provides residential active rehabilitation programmes, based on successful regimes developed by the Armed Forces at Headley Court in Surrey. The programmes provide goal-directed interdisciplinary services to help clients with a range of musculoskeletal disorders restore function to occupational readiness, manage and reduce pain, and achieve safe durable vocational outcomes. The programmes are delivered by a coordinated interdisciplinary team, which addresses the medical, functional, psycho-social and vocational needs of the client. Clients are assessed before, and monitored during the programme, by eminent Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine. Clients are monitored and assessed by our remedial therapists for at least 12 months after the course has finished.
The Spring treatment protocols have been developed to meet the NICE Guidelines CG88/2009 definition of a High Intensity Combined Physical and Psychological (CPP) Functional Restoration Programme (FRP) for the Management of Persistent Non Specific Low Back Pain. This CPP approach features prominently in the top 10 recommendations of the 2012 Spinal Task Force Guide for the Commissioning of Spinal Services. The fundamental objective is to break the cycle of dependency upon others, and promote individual responsibility for the ongoing physical management of their condition
